Cycling in Lienz

In the past few years an extensive network of cycle paths has been built in the entire Lienz valley basin, running alongside the rushing Drau and Isel rivers or through beautiful, quiet plains well away from noisy roads.

Along the cycling routes you can stop in nice taverns!

Tip I:
Ride along the cool cycle paths of the Puster valley towards Italy, past the romantic Galitzen gorge, refreshing streams and a fun children’s play park in Sillian.

Tip II:
The second cycle path from Lienz leads you into the Isel valley to Huben
Tip III:
The section towards the Carinthian Gateway is especially lovely, allowing the entire family to cycle safely through quiet natural landscapes, meadows in bloom, waving fields of grass, and to discover hidden resting spots by little reservoirs.

The region also provides mountain bike tours for a special cycling experience in the mountains!
